Standing Together Through the Federal Shutdown

During this challenging period caused by the 2025 Federal Government Shutdown, ASMBLY SoundLab is stepping up to support families right here in Charles County, Maryland.

We often take for granted life’s simplest necessities, until access to them becomes uncertain or unaffordable. Water is one of those essentials.

Every week, we will deliver packages of bottled water to four local families, helping to ease at least one basic need while so many are impacted by the ongoing shutdown.

This effort is about more than just water, it’s about solidarity. We challenge other small businesses across Charles County and beyond to join us in finding creative ways to lift one another up. This is how the community takes care of the community.

How It Works

  • Each week, four families within Charles County will receive 1 complimentary water package (Wellsley Farms Purified Water, 40 pk./16.9 oz.).

  • Deliveries will continue weekly until the federal shutdown ends.

A Message from C.J. Cruz

“This is about neighbors helping neighbors. We can’t fix the shutdown, but we can make sure families don’t go without the essentials. Stay hopeful, stay hydrated, and remember, we’re stronger together.”
